ASO has JORC gold resources of 1.5Moz with 400Koz at inferred status. At a price of 1.2c/share using the cash & equivalents from 31/12/23, that gives an EV/oz of $6. This is very much on the low side of a histogram of gold explorers having in excess of 1Mozgold resource. But ASO does not have any confidence that it can develop those gold resources.
Notwithstanding, metallurgical testing shows that the ore can be processed using conventional gold recovery methods for a high yield. In other words, no refractory treatment is needed.

With the POG at A$3555/oz (US$2355/oz), this company has plenty of incentive to put its Ni exploration on slow-burn and ramp-up progress towards development of its gold asset.
One day the Ni price will let the market believe in ASO as a Ni producer, but in the meantime it can look to becoming a gold producer. Otherwise, what is there to look forward to, <1c/share?
