I understand where you are coming from but the value of a mine and the share price is totally different.
A goldmine I know of was not viable when gold was 500 dollars an ounce it is now very profitable.
In the 1970s I held a large volume of scripts which were worth a fortune 4 weeks later were nearly worthless.The mines still had the ore and today make a good return for shareholders. The world market and the games people play seem to be the key factors. In the 1970s there was a boom in mining with names like Posidon,tasmanex,minsec etc prices going to dizzy heights. Posidon went to over 200 dollars.Man pushed up the price. What is a mine worth your guess is as good as mine.What has value today maybe worthless tomorrow as the old saying says from rooster to feather duster.So why do we participate,in my case Iv'e always wanted to be a feather duster and investing in speculative mining share is the fastest way I know of getting there.
