Dry eyes can be caused by a lack of blinking. This is caused by us all watching too many screens and science has apparently shown that when we look at phones and tablets and TV's we blink less. In turn, this drys the eyes out because when we blink the tears contain lipids(?) to keep the eyes moist.
Just gone through the discussion with my optician and they suggest drops twice a day, which of course, are not cheap. But having used them, they work
