I agree that I would also like to know more about the shallow ore and how it relates to an economically viable mine. I expect that we do not know this because there will be a box that still needs to be ticked in the ASX reporting rules. My most likely guess will be not enough drilling for a JORC resource in that area.
However, just because we do not have that information, it doesn't mean that the seven potential JV partners do not have that information. I suspect that they actually do have that information and more as part of their 350 page Information Memorandum that each have received.
Knowing Jeremy Kirkwood's background in corporate finance and the types of deals he has advised on, I could not see him pitching this to potential JV partners unless the economics of the project stacked up favourably.
Therefore, I see the probabilities differently to you.
