Regarding the East/West railway line... A big idea you say... No politician has mentioned it as part of his or her platform for being elected.... At least three state and territory governments would need to collaborate on the project... The federal Govt would also be tapped on the shoulder for some $$, not to mention the private sector would need to be involved...
It has NEVER been mentioned in budget forward estimates at state or federal level - these are generally done three years in advance. It is not on the radar for any state or territory.
But I guess Sav-J and CTP have the connections to make it happen, so yeah - easy to do & should be up & running 1Q 2011.
As for the coal... Even with the imaginary rail system, it's probably worthless. Without the imaginary rail line it is definitely worthless.
