Hi Sabine,
To allay some of your fear of drowning lol, you will see by this cross section the portals will be circa 75m (by scale) above the pit floor ( that’s a big pool ) accessed from existing mine access ramp.
All portals are generally situated above open pit floor levels to avoid mine flooding from rain event inflows in operation. No access required to Gilbeys pit below portal level in the near term to get started.
