I wonder what that would do to the BSL share price? It would certainly increase Australian profits and tax paid and therefore allow higher franked dividends. This would need to be weighed up against the "Greenie" impact of having any ownership of Coal assets even when it's not thermal coal. If they do purchase the mine it would certainly indicate that BSL believe that "new green" large scale steelmaking is a long way off.
