Borano, I used to trade in and out of these stocks but now I just buy and hold until the time is right to sell. I sold a bunch of WHC at $10.50 and now can free carry the remainder.
All these coal stocks have paid great dividends along the way which obviously factors into the returns. If you are trading in and out of them, you're probably not getting the dividends and I found the CGT component was diminishing my returns, unless you have some capital losses you need to offset.
That is unless you have a lot of cash available and you can trade big parcels more frequently.
If that is the case, do you find you get better returns this way rather than just holding?
