That reasoning against the use of DH etc in these fields will be used again and again in other industries. No doubt there will be some reduction in staffing required, but this Uni issue seems to be one of not enough staff right now. New processes will always disrupt that status quo way of doing things , but new opportunities will also arise. Consider in itself, the knowledge base of even a closed data set has to be updated over time and fact checked before uploading , time for new, creative research will be available, the site needs to be maintained, the student's work needs to checked to ensure quality and authenticity (not straight from ChatGtp etc) , so if the student numbers grow then those supervising, teaching and researching will grow, and isn't it better to have more educated persons coming through , to enable society itself to move forward . One of the exceptional benefits is that this can be done in almost any language and so we may be able to bring back some lost languages that have waned over the years .
