Agree the company isn't in the toilet, it should still make money assuming the coal price stays relatively where it is and management can get coal on a boat.
But the video was pretty poor in my opinion.
- Quarter update - DM not our fault, weather and rail delays (seems to happen every quarter though)
- Quarter update - DM don't judge us on the quarter result, look long term. But long term (2024 FY so far), they are performing pretty poorly compared to prior years on output
- Dividend - living in the past, please give us a clap on the back for paying dividends in the past
- Outstanding tax - silly little smirk on DM's face claiming it is a 'historical' issue. The smirk would indicate that he knows he is spinning a lie to confuse people. It isn't a historical issue, it is a current tax (2023) issue where management where to focused on paying dividends and couldn't be bothered budgeting for their statutory obligations. Amateur mistake.
- South Africa sale - concrete commentary that they are actively trying to sell their interest along with confirmation there is an interested party.
