if you think about 20% short interest , they have to buy back billions , most top 20 shareholders are not traders so that eliminates a large percentage of tradable stock , then add to that pls is asx 50 company so any uptick in price results in more etf buying if they buy back they drive up share price , any uptick in lithium results in general market buying , the shorters are in a real pickle and need a black swan even to cover or lithium which is at a low price to drop significantly imho
