The two gents who compiled the video below appear to work as train drivers for Bendigo, Victoria nbased Southern Shorthaul Railroad.
They don't supply an exact date for each clip except that these were taken from March to May 2024.
Unnecessary to watch the whole video, but these sequences of two AZJ Melbourne to Brisbane intermodal trains (shot on the Melbourne-Sydney line) show how dramatically the amount of freight can vary. This logically must also be the case with the major competitor, road transport, as not every truck (or rail wagon space) can obtain so-called 'back loading'.
IIRC the dull red containers (especially visible in numbers on the second train) are from some outfit called Specialised Container Leasing that must have signed a contract with AZJ. Happy to be corrected.
The first one is from 12:30 to 14:20: only about 74 TEU (i.e. measured in small conatiner size of 6.1 metres length, or 20 feet).
The second one is near the end, at 19:25 to 21:16. It has in excess of 104 TEU, so despite having some flat wagons devoid of freight, it's quite impressive:
