As a part of Google's initiative to encourage innovation, Google offers innovative startups about and upto $10,000 USD to design new devices (say edge devices) to be designed by EFabless and produce them in Skywater. This does bring a lot of new startups to mass produce their design at SKYT. New startup and medium also large companies can benifit and saves a lot of $$$ and time from this offer rather than going to a big fab to create a design.
It's a win win situation for all, innovative companies, WBT, EFabless, SKYT and Google.
