Let's take the most conservative explanation - ie. that UFOs represent next generation, black budget US military tech. That in itself is a huge story. It means there's a group of secret geniuses who are working with tech that is several generations more advanced than the what is know to the military and Pentagon. Right angle turns. Trans-medium travel. Speeds generating G-forces that would crush conventional aircraft. All that stuff.
But this conservative explanation doesn't really hold up to scrutiny. "Foo Fighter" UFOs were seen following both British and German fighter pilots in WW2, and the depictions of "craft" go wayyy back in time.
