This looks like its right up GIB's street.
Palaeochannels looking not for Diamonds but Carnotite.
Maybe GIB should ask the CSIRO about using their Ultrafine+ system to see what is beneath the top layer of the ground.
One good thing, they will not have to assay the Kangaroo scats as it has been done in the locality.
