For the mass market, it will be driven by economics. FCEV cannot compete afaik, and anyway, who wants to rely on a cartel selling them hydrogen through continuation of the “petrol station” model…? Screw that!
Besides, FCEV is fundamentally significantly less efficient than BEV; the losses along the chain make it a relative waste of energy. Exceptions apply for very specific applications.
Passenger vehicles? Forget it, imo.
