and lets us not forget the fast food industry and armaments industry.
But not as much as it used to
Russia on the other hand - thanks to US sanctions - has stopped importing useless goods and improved its ''Made is Russia'' status. It is the world's leading natural gas exporter, the 2nd-largest natural gas producer, the 2nd-largest oil exporter and producer and third largest coal exporter. Russia's foreign exchange reserves are the world's 4th-largest. It has a labour force of roughly 70 million people, which is the world's 7th-largest.
Machine building is the leading industry in Russia, which is concentrated mostly in Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Urals, Volga region, and Westerns Siberia. It provides all other industries with equipment and machinery.
Once again - thanks to US sanctions - it has become far more self sufficient and less reliant on Western goods - which is not great for Western Europe which have lost a very profitable trading partners and now have to pay top dollar for their gas imports.
