Except simply occupying territory isn’t the same as accomplishing an objective.
Putin does not fully control any of those oblasts (except Crimea) and is still losing thousands of soldiers daily along with hundreds of vehicles to maintain a no objective accomplished occupation.
Barely a consolation prize.
