F-16s are not stealthy and AMRAAM (150 miles) is out-ranged by Russian aircraft missiles (R37M 400 miles) and ground based anti-air missiles (S300/S400) but they could be used in combo with ATACMS to deliberately draw attention to locate ground based radars and missile batteries and target with ATACMS. I'm wondering if they will operate from Romania or Poland as a base fly low into Ukraine for missions carrying AGM-84H (270km range).... if they try to mix it air to air close enough to front line to hit glide bomb carriers 50 miles inside russia they will be vulnerable but even a 1 to 1 loss ratio will likely be seen as a victory so long as the pilot survives.
