Its not about trying and giving it a go, it is about price sensitive information and keeping the market informed. If you raise guidance, you have to have a credible plan that competent management have reviewed and find it achievable, sign off on it and MAKE IT HAPPEN.
A proper review process would have found supply issues and potential roadblocks that needed to be taken on board, included in the production forecast and timetable and resolved.
These guys are more in the hope for the best category. Managers are supposed to manage...not rocket science!
