Website traffic measures won't tell us everything, as prospective shoppers can use an app, or visit a MYR store in person.
However according to ubersuggest, hits on MYR's website increased from 10.2 million in March 2024 to 11.8 million in April 2024, the highest total for four months.
If you or I use the site 50 times, that's 50 'hits'. AFAIK these statistics do not reflect unique users.
If every online visit is merely cannibalising in-store sales, then the figures are of less use, but we can be confident that's not always the case.
In the retail morass of mid 2024 as the ABS says department store sales have decreased, the above may be a small light beacon.
We'll know when MYR releases its indicative trading update some time after 31 July 2024, which is the end of MYR's FY 24.
