Just because the events of 10 years ago don’t fit 100% in the description of a coup, it does not mean it was not one. It’s a technicality, not a proof it was not a coup. OJ got off on technicality, and the whole world knows he did it. The same with Ukraine 2014.

Armed groups killing members of law enforcement and civilians, entering the offices of the government and the parliament looking for blood, after the opposition signed a deal with Yanukovych, smells a lot like a coup or a violent revolution as you call it. Either way, it was a forced change to already agreed terms of a transition of power.
