Copper has pretty insane long term drivers behind it, if you expect India and Africa to industrialise to even a fraction of what China did. Very reasonable bet to make. Combine this with declining grades in copper mines, increased costs of extraction and the whole geopolitics going on with Eurasia and resource wars I can easily get on board with why they're so interested now. I don't see things getting easier the longer they wait. This recent short squeeze is a side show for the main event coming years from now.
