It makes me very very angry when I hear how the offshore gas industry
gets away with paying next to nothing in tax for exporting "our gas" overseas.
How does our gov let them get away with it. They are letting them get away with
billions of dollars Are some of them getting slipped a bit or what? In other
countries the gas industry has threatened to leave or whatever if the gov
introduce taxes on them but they introduced the taxes and guess what, they
stayed and pay the tax. Our gov is as weak as piss.
I was watching a program on ABC TV today on the subject. Nothing new
it's been happening for many years. I would be happy to join a protest on
the matter.
