Apple and Google wallet are nearly identical in what they offer. Both have contactless payment via near field communication, both pushing towards biometric recognition as secutiry, both presently only useable on their own operating systems (the crux of my figures above).

You get these guys are looking to replace using credit cards globally right? In 2022 there were some 2 billion credit card purchases in Australian alone. In the US there were 50 billion. Now try and be a bit imaginative and expand that out to the global population and imagine if Google, via 70% of global Android users, even conquer a tenth of that market and ZIP only a tenth of that.
