This is exciting progress, I'd initially conceived of this as a 'poor man's' CT scanner which would be of use where timely access to a CT scan might be difficult. This data though suggests diagnostic benefits beyond the CT if it can actually SHOW ischaemia in real time. This removes some of the educated guess work around initial diagnosis that happens even with a CT scan. It's analogous to using ECGs for heart attacks and has a similar benefit in being a quick easy to use test that u could potentially repeat multiple times as the clinical situation dictates. (CT scans are not usually repeatedly performed in short timespans)
