I still do not understand this game that MUFG and MS play. So Morgan Stanley shorts the stock using what it has borrowed from MUFG (hoping to return the stocks to MUFG at a cheaper price). Shouldn't MUFG go long to enable this? So MUFG bets long while Morgan Stanley bets short? It is a zero-sum game for them, isn't it?
