Thanks for the kind acronym scanno. I took a break from my usual geology work so I could spend time with my grandson Max. The occasional foray into this forum is 100% self indulgence. I don't expect my posts to make a difference to the misfits you mention. In truth I find it amusing that some of them place me in the Labor Party camp for supporting Peter Costello.
We have very few politicians with vision and Costello is one. Ditto for KK, Kennett and Keating. Julia is likely to never free herself from the stench of swimming the sewer to gain office. Abbott's myopic views helps with close quarters street fighting but give him zero sense of direction.
The only potential statesmen I see in the federal sphere are Turnbull and Combet. We have so few politicians of class. I am not interested in political parties, I want to see real leaders and I don't care which dunghill they stand on.
