Horrible to read re frost damage to wheat in S.NSW. On Downs the recent dry sunny weather has seen wheat filling out rapidly. Still cool for end october but no rain is a blessing. massive cotton and sorghum crop is being sown. Ideally no rain for another few weeks and hopefully wheat growers can pull-off a high yield high quality crop. After 10 poor seasons they desparately need it. Enough soil moisture to last summer plantings for 1st month. Sheep and cattle paddocks are lush.
