They've been adamant they didn't high grade prior to closure, that mine sequencing just happened to line up. I never bought that line tbh. I do wonder though if inability to access Quartz lease played a part in things (the shape of the pit). Either way, now they do have access to Quartz lease, and they're doing grade control drilling, so I trust they're planning the mine in a manner that extracts ore in the most efficient cost effective way.
