Thanks, nambo, for the reference to the other thread. From there:

"The offer, designed exclusively for qualified investors (financial institutions and individuals or companies who invest from 300,000) was approved by the board of the company at a meeting held last October 22."

So it's for insto's and sophisticated investors. The latter is the middle class.

I find it interesting that an "IPO" is discussed in all the media, but then there are restrictions, so it's not exactly "public".

The shares will be trading on the Bovespa, in any case, so the initial not so public offer might be to insto's/sophisticates, but there will be trading by "mum and dads" if you will, at some point.

I'll keep an eye out on the ticker on marketwatch. Best of luck to all holders.
