I went to see the Tesla Cybertruck on display at MacQuarrie centre Sydney this week. Single windscreen wiper the size of a concrete screed, the vehicle is bullet proof, but not its windows (sniper alert!). I would have liked to have sat inside or even seen inside but that was not allowed and I could not see through the closed dark tinted windows. Left hand drive. Where are the headlights? Supposedly can run power tools on a building site (probably 110 volt so not suitable here). So it's a gimmick. Not a serious contender for sale here in our tiny market, particularly at $150k plus, and attracting luxury vehicle tax. Left my finger prints on the unpainted stainless steel body. They said it's the only one currently in the Southern hemisphere so you won't see one in Fiji, Papua New Guinea or New Zealand. BMW dealer mate said they looked at accepting a Tesla as a trade but when their mechanics lifted the bonnet to check it the dealership phone rang and Tesla staff advised it could only be serviced by Tesla - wait time 100 days. EVs are the way of future. Good for PLS share holders but this is only a concept vehicle here.
