There are a lot of entities involved under each umbrella organisation, so yes there can be buying and selling happening but it’s much more collateral transfers and taking securities against a loan that causes them to pop in and out of the 5%.
if you are a long term investor it’s all just noise really. The stock market can feel like a casino in the short term as people panic over every bit of news and buy and sell rapidly, but long term good stocks repay investors.
