they cut back govt funding of universities necessitating accepting many thousands more o/s student applications. ensuring over a hundred thousand immigrants each year simply for education

and of course this turned into a rort.

they cut funding to TAFE and deregulated education enabling private businesses to set up as "colleges" which are used by immigrants to dodge visa restrictions. this had the effect of reduced training for skilled workers and apprenticeships. this in turn necessitated immigration of skilled required workers to support the economy where previously we had backpacker tourism and TAFE trained workers.

I don't really care if you continually blame Labs for the ***kups but crikey mate. target the causes of these problems.
