Thanks for posting that - but I wouldn’t hold your breath! not entirely unexpected announcement with an election coming up - and strangely I have a sense of deja vu as I seem to have heard it all before! (from the Conservative Govt - although obviously this is Labour Party propaganda!) and they haven’t got the funding from non-Dom tax take yet (most UK non-Doms are wealthy and have the means and capability to just shift themselves offshore to Dubai etc rather than paying if need be) but it makes good political capital to win votes.

The low hanging fruit (for votes) is new scanners etc - IT systems infrastructure will be glacial to change - unless there is a root and branch reform of the NHS (which is what is required as they just keep putting sticking plasters on) however the communique doesn’t really come across as that. Also in the end - the money always seems to get sucked into “higher priorities”.

The NHS is a triumph of hope over experience!
