Both the PM and his immigration minister, Andrew Giles are completely hopeless when it comes to all immigration issues. They can't seem to get one thing right! And the long list of bad decisions and complete failures is getting very long.
The latest after issuing visas to residents from Palestine, mid-flight to Australia their visas were cancelled, but they are now reinstated.
Labor has proven they don't know how to handle criminal detainees, following the release of 149 dangerous criminals onto our streets, it's been chaos and not one application to retain them has proceeded! And it’s costing taxpayers $500M to monitor and maintain them in the community.
In 2023 over 600,000 visas were issued putting pressure on inflation, hospitals, and services, and drove up prices of rentals due to demand.
After all this chaos and failures Labor has effectively conceded it has lost control of the borders. Handing complete control of immigration over to the courts rather than parliament playing any part in decisions.
In their attempt to fix the mess their hopeless minister has created they’ve hired 46 new lawyers.
The PM should be running the country, and his ministers should be running their portfolios, but sadly it's not a reality under Labor
