if you are right (I did not hear such thing) and the interviewer threw that number because Nic mentioned such number off-air then Nic should be fired - if this proven to be true.
But I doubt that happened. Nic lacks experience but even at his level he would know this is something that can cost him his job if it gets out so he won't risk it.
Telling people production will be lower without releasing such intel to the market first is not a good idea.
