William - I guess you have to get used to us nerds. You may well realize that whilst we aspire to a viable and successful business what really drives us in "innovation" and "discovery". Most of us are financially "comfortable" since our skills are "valued" but at the end of the day what really earns respect from our peers is "innovation" - in this respect MG is not unusual. Without "innovators" there would be little advance in technology - this is not always (in fact "research" rarely is) "commercial" - that's why much of it is sponsored by Government (universities, research establishments) but it's necessary. MG is the product of a university and vital to the success of SLX (as also is his team and in the past Horst Struve). "Integrity" is also part of our make up - we often look at "money men" especially "banksters" with suspicion as many of us have been swindled in the past by this breed.

As you say Chris Wilts is the business man in SLX - he's vital and generally does a good job but he has to also take advice from "innovators" including engineers and physicists. We also now (since Oct 2021) have Helen Cook who makes sure we are sound from a legal viewpoint but brings "prudence" to the BoD.

From my perspective I think Chris Wilks has done an excellent job by retaining the support of Cameco since July 2014 has also been a major plus. In 2018 IMHO Chris Wills pulled off a high risk "blinder" by getting the BoD to threatening GEH with pulling out of the US project and repatriating everything to Lucas Heights. At that time GEH was faced with a potential threat to their major customer (e.g the US DoE) who I assume then put pressure on GEH to "come to terms" with SLX/Cameco - it was a big gamble but in the end they secured a "magic" deal for SLX and Cameco and also likely committed the DoE - IMO we are now likely to reap those benefits. Not only to we appears to be in poll position to be the first commercial uranium laser enrichment technology but to also have an investment grade partner (e.g Cameco) who Grant Isaacs has stated in "front and centre" to their vertical integration aspirations; IMO this is an enviable position. I accept that there has been some luck in getting where we now are but it's also needed top rate engineers and physicists to get there - they also have to be motivated and money is not always their prime motivation,
