I think it's more likely Penno and A2M are at odds so I wouldn't bet he would support either option- he'll lose his shirt anyway. He may even get sued along with other directors for the fine mess Synlait has got itself into. Might also be a major transaction? If so 75% of shares able to vote on the issue needed to vote this over the line.
