My question for the learned ones on here is how many, and.what size will the batteries have to be to get the NEM through to tomorrow morning say 06:00. This requirement will not change no matter how much wind and solar you have installed given these events do occur. Hydro is chucking in about 15% at this time but this will fall away as the evening progresses and indeed will reverse once they start pumping the water up the hills. I am not disputing the decarbonisation will continue I am just asking what is the volume of batteries that will be required if anyone can help out.

More than ever will be available. There is likely to be a massive shortfall in all battery minerals to provide for enough storage for countries that will require battery backup (most of them), particularly Vanadium.
