The problem is that BHP wants big deposits, but these days they rarely line up with stable tier 1 jurisdictions. Best bet probably is the under-explored arctic north of Canada (or greenland if not for politics).
Then you run into the issues of tier 1 jurisdictions having anti-mining policies....
It really is a pick your poison problem.
