Sydney, Australia, 1 May 2024: Chimeric Therapeutics (ASX:CHM, “Chimeric” or the “Company”), an
Australian leader in cell therapy, announces that Ms. Jennifer Chow has given notice of her resignation
as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Company. It is expected that Ms. Chow will
leave the Company on May 24, 2024.
During her tenure since late 2020, Ms. Chow has built out the Company’s unique portfolio of novel cell
therapy assets, advanced the pipeline from early-stage development to the clinic and managed the
Company’s operations.
Executive Chairman, Paul Hopper, said: “Jenn was instrumental in building the Company from a single
technology business based on the City of Hope CLTX brain cancer program up until today, where we now
have three platform technologies across multiple Phase 1A and Phase 1b clinical trials. The Board
acknowledges the major contributions made by Jenn and wishes her well in all future endeavours.”
Chimeric will announce further changes to its executive team in the short term.


Normally we get told why. I sent a few emails to her but got no answer, unusual, as she always replied very quickly. Opens the door for speculations but as we know that Hopper doesn't tolerate opposed opinions ( Axel Hoos, Michael Baker ) one can only assume a fall out for her sudden resignation. Just as the 3 most advanced assets are about to take off she leaves. She fought really hard for CDH17, Hoppers direct shot with a new advanced CD17 CAR-T at solid cancers, and just as the first patient is about to be dosed she leaves?

Ok, stranger things happened and maybe it is all staged and she will get employed by another big pharma and initiates a CHM t/o from there, who knows.

A bit more transparency and all speculations could be put to rest. Or all is just a big entertainment for Hopper while he waits for the financial heaven to open. In that case, me and many others played well along to his playbook.

Hopper could have established himself as a genius, but like many others maybe got off the track.

If one day we all benefit I will not hesitate to admit " I was wrong ". Much better than admitting I had the chance to pull the emergency break and didn't.
