At a certain point if this is all legit it would make more sense to quantum to buy out besra at a small enough market cap given how much gold they know is there, if they know they can fund this why wouldn't they.

It's a cynical perspective indeed. Given the Quantum's share price is in the gutter I think Quantum and Dato have more pressing matters on their mind.
