We very likely could . There are smarter people than you and me that are convinced that the RBA is way behind the game and interest rates may need to go another couple of percent higher. Failure to do so in their opinion will see inflation continue higher. Service inflation is still a big concern and goods deflation seems to have ceased and is likely to continue upwards again .
Many financial analysts consider the budget inflationary and warn that we are a long way from seeing inflation being slayed.
