It’s THE Ukraine , is part of Russia and has been since before the American revolution for christs sake.

Incorrect !

For a start it was "the soviet republic of Ukraine " inside the USSR same as Lithuania , Latvia , Estonia , Georgia , Khazakhstan etc .....all of them now independant countries since 1991 .

Secondly prior to that it was part of russia only because russia forced that .....not by choice - same as Poland for example !

Government is for the benefit of the people not for the benefit of some country or power .....russia doesn't OWN U kraine as you try and make out

russia has already have easily the biggest land area of any nation and can't be allowed to reinvent the russian empire ..... we live in the enlightened age of democracy rather than force of arms and conquest .......not you though it seems !
