and that way we get a fluctuation, a wide swing between the two parties.
democracy is supposed to represent the voices of the electorate. Party MPs represent the party, not the electorate. only a true independent can do this as they aren't beholden to a political party which governs their relevance to the parliament.
the independents in PH today are showing how democracy should be. imo we need to dump the parties are they don't serve the interests of the people and instead base their decisions on party ideology.
