The idea would not be for that gas/oil to be sent to Russia, the Russian entity would be making a profit selling it in Southern Africa as they have tremendous expertise in gas development. And at the same time for Russia would be a strengthening of their bilateral relationship with Zim like they are doing with so many countries around the world. The Russian economy is also growing faster than any other economy in western Europe, in terms of PPP, the 4th largest economy in the world, so a powerful partner for Zim to have.
