Yes and if the ev tards opened their eyes. they would be aware that for the last seven years there has already been a Lexus which has variable cam timings on both cams, direct and indirect fuel injection, and variable compression ratio.
All of these features are programmable and adjustable on the fly without the pilot even knowing that is is going on beneath the bonnet/hood.It runs on any octane unleaded fuel or ethanol blend or a blend of both, makes nearly 500hp and achieves 32mpg.
Sad thing is it is speed limited to 270kph
One can only surmise that r&d with this has contributed to these latest developments. Go Toyota ice.
