It split its stock 5 times prior to that

After its first 2 splits (Jun 2000, Sep 2001), the Dot com crash occured.
After the next 4th split on Sept 2007, the Great financial crisis occured.
After the 5th split on Jul 2021, the Bear Market started.

None of it is their fault, just bad luck timing
