No doubt plenty of journalists " push the envelope ". l've often wondered why there aren't more incidents . Not so much with politicians though.
When the media are camped outside a citizen's houses after a tragedy for example . Terrible behaviour imo . l often wonder how l would handle a situation like that . Not well l suspect .
Politicians are a different kettle of fish though. They use journalists and the media for their own purposes. ln many cases less than honorable . All the politicians know the score and they take advantage when it suits them .
l'm a bit surprised that an old hand like Costello behaved like this. All he had to do is offer the journo a hand up and this whole thing would've been a nothing burger . His resignation says volumes.
Funny that the usual suspects have jumped in to defend him. l'm sure if it was someone from another party it would be a different story.
